Article 55 of the Constitution of Kenya

The State shall take measures, including affirmative action programmes, to ensure that the youth:

a

Education & Training

Access relevant education and training.

b

Representation & Participation

Opportunities to associate, be represented and participate in political, social, economic and other spheres of life.

c

Employment

Access employment.

d

Protection

Protection from harmful cultural practices and exploitation.

Every pillar of the National Youth Summit directly advances these constitutional obligations and complements the Ministry's mandate.

Young people should never be remembered as the fuel of conflict. They should be remembered as the architects of peace, the guardians of democracy, and the builders of Kenya's future.
